Born in 1975 near Glasgow in West Central Scotland, Chris was raised close to the historic northern frontier of the Roman Empire. His formative years unfolded against the backdrop of the Thatcher era’s social and political upheavals and the waning years of the Cold War. Immersed in an environment marked by a naval ordnance testing facility, an abandoned coal mine, and the Forth and Clyde Canal, he developed a rebellious and unconventional creative outlook shaped by these stark contrasts.

Based in Basel, Switzerland, Chris began his artistic path in Glasgow and went on to refine his skills in Edinburgh, where he completed an honours degree at the School of Visual Communication. His creative philosophy is firmly anchored in the traditions of fine art, which continue to enrich and inform his digital practice.
